The image depicts a backyard scene in Brest, Belarus, under a cloudy sky. A large, mature apple tree dominates the right side of the frame, laden with numerous small, green and reddish apples. Beyond the fence and trees, the grey, corrugated roof of a building is visible, suggesting residential or outbuilding structures. The ground in the foreground is covered with patchy green grass, interspersed with fallen leaves and some cut grass. A few fallen apples are scattered on the ground beneath the main apple tree. A thin, young sapling stands in the middle ground of the lawn. The overall impression is of a well-established, slightly unkempt garden in a rural or suburban setting.
