The image captures two peacocks inside a chain-link fence enclosure at the Minsk Zoo in Minsk, Belarus. In the upper left quadrant, a greyish-brown peacock, possibly a peahen or a male without its full breeding plumage, is seen from its back and upper neck, partially obscured by the fence wires. Its plumage is uniformly grey-brown, with a darker, almost black, head and neck. Adjoining this bird, and dominating the central and lower portions of the frame, is the rear view of a male peacock, identifiable by its iridescent tail feathers. These feathers, displaying multiple distinct "eyespot" patterns in vibrant shades of green and blue with light tan outlines, are fanned out and hanging downwards. A section of the male's body feathers, exhibiting a striped brown and tan pattern, is visible above the base of its tail. The ground within the enclosure is covered with light-colored wood chips, interspersed with small stones and dirt. In the background, a light brown wooden wall forms the perimeter. A large, smooth, grey rock rests in the mid-ground, positioned against the wooden wall. Below this, a horizontal reddish-brown beam or barrier is present, beneath which a cluster of smaller, irregularly shaped rocks is visible. A tree trunk partially enters the frame on the far right. No people are visible.
