Both heads emerge from intricate acanthus leaves and are interconnected by ornate, heavily carved garlands composed of grapes, leaves, and flowers. Flanking these central heads, at each end of the frieze, is an eagle-like bird perched on a spherical base, grasping a decorative ribbon or element that extends to the garlands. The lowermost band exhibits a repeating linear geometric pattern. The sarcophagus exhibits considerable age, wear, and damage, particularly along its upper rim where sections are missing or repaired. This artifact is located in the city of Hims, Syria.
