This interior photograph, taken in Iganovo, Bulgaria, captures a multi-level view of a contemporary spiral staircase
This interior photograph, taken in Iganovo, Bulgaria, captures a multi-level view of a contemporary spiral staircase. The staircase ascends in a clockwise direction, originating from the lower left and rising towards the upper right. It is constructed with wedge-shaped, light-colored wooden treads, approximately 5 cm thick, which are supported by black metal plates. These plates are fastened to a central, cylindrical black metal column. The railing consists of vertical balusters made of both wider black metal bars and thinner, cylindrical silver-colored rods, extending upwards from the outer edges of the step supports. The upper section of the staircase is framed by a rough, exposed concrete ceiling exhibiting visible aggregate and an unfinished texture, with a circular cutout accommodating the stairwell. A plain white painted wall is visible on the right side of the image, while a lighter, possibly off-white or light grey wall, is present on the lower left. Artificial warm lighting emanates from beneath several steps, and natural light filters from above, illuminating green foliage partially visible through the upper balusters. No individuals are present, and no actions or interactions are depicted.
