MeknesMorocco

This image displays a detailed, vertical close-up of a circular, glazed ceramic decorative plate, observed in the city of Meknes, Morocco. The central portion of the plate features an off-white background, upon which two peacocks are depicted amidst an intricate arrangement of flowers and foliage. The prominent peacock on the left exhibits a blue head with a red crest, a body with reddish-brown, blue, and dark blue plumage, and expansive green tail feathers detailed with gold-outlined 'eyes.' It stands on an irregularly shaped, gold-rimmed tan element. A second peacock is partially visible behind and slightly above the first, showing a blue head, red crest, and reddish-brown body with green tail feathers. Numerous large flowers in pink, red, and light blue, each meticulously outlined in gold, are scattered around the peacocks, intermingled with green leaves and foliage. The outer border of the plate is dark blue, decorated with a repeating pattern of wavy gold lines enclosing stylized floral motifs, including small white five-petal flowers, red petal-like forms, green leaves, and yellow star-shaped flowers, all with contrasting outlines.
