Below this dense canopy, particularly in the lower third, intricate patterns of gnarled, bare woody bougainvillea branches are visible against the wall surface. The wall itself is composed of two distinct sections: an upper part with a distressed, yellowish-orange plastered finish and a lower base of a lighter, sand-colored stone or brick, exhibiting cracks and areas where reddish brick is exposed. Strong, directional sunlight from the upper right casts sharp, detailed shadows of the branches and leaves onto the wall.
