The image is a document with a letterhead from the Committee for State Security USSR, Administration for Kemerovo Oblast. The letter is dated 19.08.1988 and is addressed to "Dear Anna Fedotovna". The body of the letter discusses the arrest and fate of her father, Demidov Fedot Stepanovich, born in 1903. It states he was arrested on December 1, 1937, by the Stalin City Department of NKVD and worked as a clerk in the editorial office of the newspaper "Bol'shevistskaya Stal'". He was sentenced by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR to 10 years. He died in confinement on August 14, 1943, and his place of burial is unknown to the KGB. The letter further states that an official determination by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on June 10, 1958, rehabilitated Demidov F.S., but obtaining a certificate and a note from his father, which is considered substantial evidence, is not possible. The document is signed by the Head of Department, B.P. Arkhipkin. The location mentioned, Ust'-Pyzas, Russia, is not explicitly present in the document itself.
