Stake attention in this memory
An overhead shot shows a ground mosaic of small, multi-colored pebbles set into concrete. The mosaic features a compass rose design. The center of the compass is a dark gray, star-shaped area composed of darker pebbles. Extending from the center are four pointed "arms" of the star, alternating between light tan pebbles and dark gray pebbles. These arms extend outwards to meet a circular border of dark green pebbles. Outside this circular border, the pattern transitions to horizontal bands of light tan and dark green pebbles. Shadows from an unseen light source are cast across the mosaic, creating areas of light and dark. The surface appears to be a pedestrian walkway or plaza, as evidenced by the texture and the presence of a small piece of debris, possibly a cigarette butt, in the lower right quadrant.
