The scene, presumably located in Cujisal, Venezuela, depicts an outdoor, unpaved area. In the center, a light-skinned left hand firmly grips the mid-section of a wooden-handled axe. The axe's metal head, appearing to be an adze, rests with its sharpened edge on top of a roughly cylindrical concrete block. This concrete block, approximately 30-40 cm in visible height and diameter, exhibits a coarse, grey aggregate surface. The ground directly beneath and around these objects consists of dry, light-brown soil, sparsely covered with scattered dried leaves, small twigs, and fragments of wood. In the upper portion of the image, the base of a large tree with thick, gnarled roots is visible, suggesting the immediate environment is near vegetation.
