The image displays the Central Library building of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in Ciudad Universitaria, Mexico City, Mexico. The towering, rectangular structure is almost entirely covered by a massive, multi-colored mosaic mural, "Historical Representation of Culture" by Juan O'Gorman, dated 1952, visible on the lower right side of the main facade. Composed of natural stones, the mosaic depicts a complex array of stylized figures, including deities, warriors, animals (such as an eagle and a serpent), and symbolic elements, illustrating pre-Hispanic, colonial, and modern Mexican history and culture. The building's lower sections, below the mural, feature multiple floors with horizontal window bands interspersed with concrete or stone facades. The sky above is overcast with diffuse cloud cover.
