A single green parrot, identified as a Rose-ringed Parakeet (Psittacula krameri) by its prominent red/orange beak and green plumage, is depicted within a wire mesh enclosure in Ravda, Bulgaria
Short TermA single green parrot, identified as a Rose-ringed Parakeet (Psittacula krameri) by its prominent red/orange beak and green plumage, is depicted within a wire mesh enclosure in Ravda, Bulgaria. The parrot is oriented vertically, clinging to the galvanized metal wire mesh wall of its cage with both feet. Its body is predominantly green, with subtle darker red/maroon feathering visible on the underside of its right wing. The bird's head is turned to its right, revealing a dark, round eye. Above the parrot, the enclosure features a dark, finer mesh roof structure secured by metal bolts and washers. To the right and behind the parrot, a light-colored concrete or stone wall is present. Below the wall, a dark green metal door or gate with horizontal raised panels is partially visible. A rough, light-colored wooden branch, serving as a perch, extends horizontally across the frame above the green door. A thin metal chain hangs vertically from the top of the enclosure, secured by a bent wire hook, ending near the wooden perch. The scene is illuminated by ambient daylight.
