An ancient, multi-tiered stone amphitheater is depicted at night in Kozloduy, Bulgaria. The colossal structure, characterized by successive levels of arches, is dramatically illuminated by artificial lighting, casting warm yellow and orange hues onto its weathered facade and through its openings. The dark night sky forms the backdrop above the partially ruined upper sections of the monument. In the foreground, a yellowish-green grassy area is visible, scattered with several light-colored rocks. The lower arches are secured with dark metal grates, behind which scaffolding or internal structures are discernable, lit with a cooler, bluish light. Two individuals are present near the base of the structure on the right side of the frame; one appears seated or crouched, wearing a light jacket, while the other stands nearby. A cross is affixed to an upper section of the lower tier on the right side of the structure.
