A multi-panel ceramic tile mural, located in the city of Mendoza, Argentina, depicts a historical military group

MendozaArgentina

A multi-panel ceramic tile mural, located in the city of Mendoza, Argentina, depicts a historical military group. The scene features approximately ten male figures dressed in 16th to 17th-century European military attire, consistent with Spanish conquistadors. Several figures are mounted on horses, while others are positioned on foot in the foreground. All men wear helmets (morions) and partial armor, along with period clothing in shades of brown, yellow, green, and white. Multiple individuals are bearded. At least five figures carry upright polearms, such as pikes or halberds. The background illustrates an open, possibly arid, landscape with a pale blue sky transitioning to a muted yellowish-brown ground. The individual square tiles composing the mural show visible grout lines, and significant chips and cracks are present, particularly in the upper sections, indicating age and environmental wear.
