CibodasIndonesia

A weathered stone guardian statue, characteristic of Indonesian Dwarapala, is centrally positioned outdoors in Cibodas, Indonesia. The dark grey statue depicts a squatting figure with a prominent mustache, bared teeth, wide eyes, and what appears to be a snake coiled on its head and another draped over its shoulder. It holds a cylindrical, ornate staff or mace in its right hand. White and light green lichen growth is visible across the statue's surface, indicating prolonged exposure to elements. The statue rests on an elevated base constructed from a grey stone plinth atop reddish-brown brickwork, also exhibiting signs of weathering and some biological growth. To the immediate left and behind the statue, a segment of a green metal fence or gate is visible, with dense, vibrant green tropical foliage, including large fern-like plants, illuminated by sunlight. Further left, a lower stone and brick structure features a recess containing two discolored glass bottles, one dark green and one brown. Small green plants are growing on and around this lower structure. To the right of the statue, a continuation of the green metal gate/fence is present, connecting to a brick column. The ground in the foreground and to the right is a light-colored paved or concrete surface with scattered dry leaves. The overall environment suggests a garden, park, or a cultural site entrance.
