The sculpture depicts a hunting scene. At the uppermost tier, a standing male figure, identified as King Matthias Corvinus, is dressed in period hunting attire and holds a crossbow in his left hand. A large stag with substantial antlers lies prostrate at his feet, to his right. Behind this figure, the stone wall features a carved relief of foliage with a central rectangular golden mosaic panel. On the tier below, to the left, a male figure stands, holding a hunting horn to his mouth as if sounding it. To the right on the same tier, another male figure is seated, looking downwards, holding what appears to be a small dead animal in his lap. The lowest tier features three hunting dogs. One dog, centrally positioned, leans forward with its head down, as if drinking or sniffing the ground. To its left, another dog stands erect, looking towards the right. To the far right, a third dog is seated, looking towards the left with its mouth slightly ajar. The bronze figures are set upon intricately carved rocky formations, simulating a natural environment, with small patches of snow visible on several surfaces. A light-colored classical stone column is partially visible to the left of the sculpture, indicating its integration with a larger architectural structure.
