The scene is dominated by a raised rectangular planting bed located on the right side of the walkway. The bed features a light-colored concrete or stone coping and its base is constructed from grey, textured rectangular blocks. The floor of the walkway, visible in the lower left, is paved with grey hexagonal interlocking pavers. Above the planting bed, a white ceiling spans horizontally. To the immediate left of the bed, a wall of identical grey, textured blocks extends upwards. The rear of the planting bed is positioned against a building facade characterized by large, multi-pane windows with white frames, reflecting ambient light from an interior space. Below these windows, the grey block wall continues. The planting bed contains various tropical and subtropical plants within dark soil or mulch. On the far left of the bed, two slender plants with small green leaves are seen climbing vertically, nearly reaching the ceiling. Below them are several medium-sized bushes with larger green leaves, some exhibiting small pink or red flowers. In the center of the bed stands a small palm tree with a crown of green fronds atop its trunk, surrounded by numerous dried, brown fronds hanging downwards. Towards the right and foreground of the bed, a dense arrangement of foliage includes more palm-like plants, many displaying dried brown fronds, interspersed with various ferns, some vibrant green and others dessicated and brown, particularly near the front edge of the coping.
