In Zinna, Nigeria, an overhead shot captures a cluster of green plants growing in sandy soil. The plants, with their broad, ovate leaves, exhibit evidence of insect damage, with numerous holes and chewed edges visible on many of the leaves. Some of the plants are taller than others, with newer, lighter green leaves emerging from their centers. The ground beneath the plants is a mixture of sand, small pebbles, and dry organic matter, including twigs and straw.
