The duck in the foreground, displaying a green head and brown chest, lies near the edge of a moss-covered concrete or stone retaining wall. The second duck, exhibiting similar plumage, is situated slightly further from the water on the same bank. The water surface shows reflections of unseen foliage and contains a single floating yellow leaf.
