A Paphiopedilum orchid, commonly known as a slipper orchid, is centrally displayed within a clear glass terrarium or cloche. The orchid flower features a prominent white dorsal sepal densely speckled with dark maroon-purple spots, transitioning to a chartreuse-yellow central area, and terminating in a deep brown, pouch-shaped labellum with darker maroon margins. Broad, light tan-brown lateral petals extend horizontally from the flower's base. A slender black support rod is visible directly behind the bloom. The orchid plant's numerous light green, strap-like leaves emerge from a textured mound of green moss, with small dark specks visible at the base of the leaves and on the moss. Within the glass enclosure, behind the main orchid, a layer of bright green moss covers the base, and additional foliage is discernible, including leaves exhibiting a distinct green and pink/reddish variegated pattern. Reflections are present on the curved glass surface. This cultivated botanical scene is situated in Pardes Hana-Karkur, Israel.
