Tétouan تطوانMorocco

A frontal view depicts a closed, dark brown wooden double-leaf door with a pointed Moorish arch, characteristic of Moroccan architecture in Tétouan. The door is heavily studded with numerous small, dark metal hemispherical studs arranged in vertical columns and horizontal rows. Two circular metal door knockers are affixed at mid-height, one on each leaf. Two rectangular white papers are vertically taped to the lower half of the door, one per leaf. The door is framed by an ornate white plaster archway featuring intricate floral and geometric carvings in relief. Above the arch, a black, single-bulb lantern is centrally mounted. A horizontal band of green Arabic calligraphy against the white plaster runs above the lantern and archway. The main facade is white, with sections of vibrant yellow visible on the adjacent wall portions to the left and right. Below the archway, the lower facade is clad with traditional Moroccan zellige tilework, displaying a repeating geometric pattern of small black crosses on a white background. A dark gray stone step or low platform extends horizontally in front of the door at ground level. Above the calligraphy, the roofline features a horizontal white frieze containing evenly spaced vertical green ceramic tile inserts. Topping this is a row of green, pyramidal-shaped ceramic roof tiles (chebakia), adding a distinctive element to the white structure. Small decorative inserts are present in the upper corners of the white frieze. The overall structure appears to be an entrance to a significant building in the city of Tétouan, Morocco.
