An antique, longsword-style weapon is displayed vertically within a clear, glass-fronted exhibit case with a white interior back panel, located in Mechouar Fes Jdid, Morocco. The sword features a dark, possibly wooden, fluted grip culminating in a pointed, finial-like pommel. Below the grip is an elaborate, dark metallic crossguard with a central ring from which four ornate, curled quillons extend, two facing upward and two downward, forming a decorative guard. The straight, metallic blade, appearing aged with a dark patina, extends downward to a tapered point. Reflections of informational placards with text and images, as well as indistinct human figures, are visible on the glass of the display case, indicating an indoor museum or exhibition setting. Dark, opaque panels flank the display case. There are no individuals directly interacting with the artifact.
