A single, immature cacao pod (Theobroma cacao), approximately ovoid and characterized by longitudinal ridges, is depicted in an outdoor environment in Meunasahalue, Indonesia. The pod, predominantly green in color with some minor dark flecks on its surface, hangs vertically from a robust, horizontal, rough-textured, dark brown tree branch. A dense cluster of small, dark-bodied ants is observed at the peduncle (stem) where the pod attaches to the branch, with individual ants also distributed on the uppermost section of the pod. The background is entirely out-of-focus, consisting of vibrant green foliage and several bright, diffuse white light sources, indicating a sunlit, natural setting.
