JermukArmenia

This image captures a natural spring or small waterfall framed by a stone archway, located in Jermuk, Armenia, characteristic of the town's mineral water sources. The viewpoint is from within or immediately in front of a grey stone arch, constructed from large, roughly cut blocks, which frames the scene beyond. Through the arch, water descends in multiple cascades from an elevated, unseen source, forming a small waterfall. This water splashes over and flows around an arrangement of dark, wet, irregular rocks that comprise the immediate base of the fall. Below these larger rocks, the water forms a shallow, clear stream that flows across the foreground, which is composed of smaller, varied-colored stones and gravel. Lush green vegetation, including a large-leafed plant with prominent green and yellowing leaves, is visible behind and to the left of the waterfall, indicating a dense, damp natural environment. Moss patches are evident on some of the rocks. On the right side of the frame, resting on a moss-covered rock near the flowing water, a single light-colored athletic shoe is present, suggesting recent human activity at the location. The overall environment is wet, natural, and appears to be a maintained access point to a spring.
