The image shows a memorial with a red stone stele marked with a gold star. The plaque commemorates the events of March 1, 1968, where vessel 235 of HONDVN carried out a weapons transport mission to support battlefront area 6. It battled 7 warships and 2 American-backed allied special forces units, managed to safely deliver the cargo, and scuttled the ship. Fourteen officers and soldiers died heroically, including Captain Nguyen Phan Vi. The memorial also states that the ship was posthumously awarded the title of Heroic Unit by the state. Flowers and offerings adorn the site.
