The image displays a steep, downward-sloping concrete staircase located in Vladaya, Bulgaria. A metal handrail extends from the foreground along the right side of the stairs. The staircase itself is composed of individual concrete slabs, some appearing uneven or worn. Both sides of the stairs are bordered by natural slopes covered in bare deciduous trees, bushes, and fallen leaves, characteristic of late winter or early spring. An ivy-clad tree trunk is visible on the left side of the upper slope. Approximately midway down the visible incline, on the left slope, a wooden bench with dark metal supports is situated. Scattered refuse, including blue and white plastic bottles and several aluminum cans (one blue, one silver), is present on the stair treads and adjacent ground. In the mid-distance to the right of the staircase, a multi-story brick building with numerous windows is partially visible through the bare trees. Further down the slope and into the valley, a cluster of buildings, including structures with red-tiled roofs and one with a green awning, are discernible. Distant hills, also covered in leafless trees, form the background. The scene is illuminated by strong sunlight, casting shadows to the right of the staircase and structures. No individuals are present in the image.
