Vĩnh LươngVietnam

This image captures a weathered, open-air concrete shrine or altar structure in Vĩnh Lương, Vietnam, set against a clear blue sky. The structure features vertical concrete pillars supporting a horizontal beam, with visible cracking, spalling, and exposed rebar indicating deterioration. The back wall of the enclosure is adorned with dark, vertically oriented script. Centered on an elevated concrete platform within the shrine is a dark-colored, corpulent, seated Buddha statue. This statue is flanked by two identical red horse figurines. Directly in front of the elevated platform, a lower, rectangular concrete pedestal functions as an offering surface. Upon this pedestal rests a small, blue and white patterned ceramic bowl containing several spent incense sticks, a golden ornate vase, and a small, irregular grey rock. The base of the structure is composed of grey stone blocks, topped by a course of red, hollow bricks. Sparse green foliage and dry branches are visible around the exterior base of the concrete framework.
