In Ciherang, Indonesia, a small, dark-leaved plant occupies the foreground. Its broad leaves, predominantly dark green to reddish-purple, display numerous irregular holes and chewed edges indicative of insect damage. The plant grows in reddish-brown soil, which is sparsely covered with small green weeds and scattered dried organic debris. In the midground and background, portions of several dark, vertically oriented tree trunks with rough, peeling bark are visible.
