General TodorovBulgaria

This image presents an outdoor scene featuring a prominent information sign situated in General Todorov, Bulgaria. The sign, constructed of a clear glass pane, is rectangular and vertically oriented, secured by two cylindrical, polished metal posts on its left and right sides. The text on the sign is displayed in both Bulgarian (top half) and English (bottom half). The sign details the "Temple 'St. Petka Bulgarska'," stating it was "Constructed by Vanga." According to the text, construction commenced on May 31, 1992, and the temple was ceremonially consecrated on October 14, 1994, by the Bishop of Nevrokop. The project was designed by architects Bogdan Tomalevsky and Lozan Lozanov. Academician Svetlin Rusev painted the frescoes and icons, while Grigor Paunov crafted the iconostasis. Vanga's bequest is described as the temple serving as a home for all believers, irrespective of their nationality or religion. The sign concludes with "The 'Vanga' Foundation." The background of the image features a bright, clear blue sky occupying the upper portion. A large deciduous tree with dense, vibrant green foliage is visible behind and to the sides of the sign, extending into the sky. The tree's leaves are clearly illuminated by natural sunlight. The lower part of the image, below the sign, shows a well-maintained area of lush green grass. Some darker green bushes are also visible near the base of the sign on the left. Faint reflections of a distant building with a visible cross on its roof, presumably the described temple, along with reflections of the blue sky, are discernible on the glossy surface of the glass sign. The overall scene is brightly lit, indicative of a sunny daytime environment.
