The scene is located in Getenga ward, Kenya. A black, circular plastic basin, approximately 60-80 cm in diameter, is centrally positioned on reddish-brown, dry earth. The basin contains a heterogeneous mixture. The left side of the basin is filled with a pale yellow-beige liquid. The right side contains a mound of light grey, granular material, heavily speckled with numerous dark brown to black particles, which appears partially saturated by the liquid. A small, dark green leaf fragment, approximately 3-4 cm in length, is partially submerged in the liquid on the left. White, dried particulate splatters are visible on the interior upper rim and exterior upper portion of the basin. The surrounding ground is unpaved, consisting of dry, reddish-brown soil intermingled with various sizes of dark brown, reddish, and grey rocks and pebbles. Scattered lighter, possibly white, particulate matter is present on the soil near the top edge of the frame. No individuals are visible.
