The scene depicts a stone water fountain located within the Rila Monastery complex, Rilski Manastir, Bulgaria. The fountain is constructed from stacked grey granite blocks. Two brass-colored spouts, showing verdigris and corrosion, protrude from the upper section of the wall, actively discharging streams of water. A circular, heavily corroded metal fixture is centered between the two active spouts. Below the spouts, a rectangular stone basin contains turbid water, exhibiting green algal growth on its inner surfaces. Numerous coins, predominantly copper-colored, are visible resting at the bottom of the basin. Water continuously drips from both spouts, creating surface ripples in the basin. To the right of the fountain structure, a polished metal ladle with a circular bowl hangs from a rusted metal chain. The immediate ground around the fountain consists of uneven flagstone paving interspersed with sparse vegetation. In the upper right background, a white-painted building with a dark-framed archway is visible, bearing the numeral "131" above the arch. Stacks of terracotta roof tiles are partially visible on the far right.
