The image depicts a daytime street scene on Calle de San Bernardo, Madrid, Spain, viewed from a slightly elevated perspective looking northeast. The upper half of the frame is dominated by a clear, bright blue sky with a scattering of small, indistinct white specks, possibly distant birds or debris. The lower half features a multi-lane urban street, sloping gently downwards and away from the viewer. On the right side, a prominent multi-story building, likely the Hotel Abalú at San Bernardo 51, is painted red with white window frames and multiple black wrought-iron balconies. A tall, narrow glass bay window projects vertically from its upper-middle floors. Adjacent to this red building, and extending down the street, is a continuous row of similar multi-story buildings, predominantly white or cream-colored, also featuring numerous windows with black wrought-iron balconies. At street level, the asphalt road is visible. On the right side, a row of parked motorcycles and scooters lines the curb, followed by bicycle racks with several bicycles attached. A single individual, wearing a dark top, stands near the parked bikes. Further down the street on the left, several trees with dark, dense foliage are visible along the sidewalk. Traffic lights, showing a red signal, are discernible further down on the left side of the street. Vehicles, including cars and a dark-colored SUV partially visible in the foreground on the left, are parked or in motion. The natural daylight casts shadows to the left, indicating the sun is positioned to the right of the frame.
