The image displays a vibrant, detailed fresco covering a vaulted ceiling or dome, identified as being within the Rila Monastery (Rilski manastir), Bulgaria, likely the Catholicon (main church). The central element is a large, circular depiction of God the Father, portrayed as an elderly, long-bearded man in white and blue robes with outstretched arms, surrounded by a golden halo and a triangular nimbus. He is positioned above a depiction of the sky and earth, featuring the sun, moon, and stars. Cyrillic text in a dark blue band encircles this central figure, reading "ТВОРЕЦЪ НЕБЪ И ЗЕМЛИ" (Creator of Heaven and Earth) and "ВСЕДЪРЖИТЕЛЪ ВЪРЮ ВИДИМИМЪ" (Pantocrator, Visible Faith).

Radiating outwards from the center, the fresco is organized into concentric bands depicting various Christian theological scenes and figures. Immediately surrounding God the Father is a ring of winged angelic heads. Below the central depiction of God, a prominent scene shows the Resurrection of Christ, with a bare-chested Jesus, wrapped in white cloth, rising from a tomb, holding a staff. Below him, two Roman soldiers or guards are depicted lying prostrate or fallen.

To the left of the Resurrection scene, another significant panel illustrates the Crucifixion of Christ, with Jesus on the cross and figures of mourners or witnesses at its base. To the right, additional scenes depict angelic figures in flight and a figure of Christ in the clouds, possibly representing the Ascension, with other figures observing from below.

The outermost visible sections feature numerous saints and angels. One section in the lower left prominently displays the Virgin Mary with a halo, looking upwards, surrounded by celestial rays. Other angelic figures, some holding symbolic objects, are scattered throughout these outer bands. The overall color palette is rich, dominated by blues, greens, reds, and golden hues, characteristic of Orthodox iconography. The lighting suggests an upward view within an interior architectural space, possibly with some atmospheric haze or natural light reflection in the upper portion of the frame.
