A column of gray volcanic ash or smoke is actively emanating from the summit crater, rising vertically and then drifting slightly towards the upper left. The upper slopes of the volcano are covered with white snow and ice, with darker terrain visible beneath. Portions of the mid-slopes are partially obscured by white, cumulus clouds. The sky above is predominantly clear blue, with a distinct diagonal band of white, fragmented clouds extending across the upper left quadrant.
