Two deceased bovine animals are observed in a shallow, flowing watercourse in Homs, Syria. The animal positioned further upstream lies largely submerged and dorsal side up, exhibiting a grayish-brown and black hide, partially covered by bare branches and organic debris. The second animal, situated downstream, lies on its right side, partially submerged. This animal displays distinct black and lighter brown patches on its hide. A large abdominal wound is evident, exposing internal organs and interspersed with white plastic debris. Both animals appear to be in advanced stages of decomposition. The water is turbid and flows over muddy banks, which contain sparse dry vegetation, branches, and scattered refuse. No people are visible in the scene.
