This detailed image captures an ornate flower clock situated in a park or garden in Kazanlak, Bulgaria
Short TermThis detailed image captures an ornate flower clock situated in a park or garden in Kazanlak, Bulgaria. The central feature is a circular, ground-level flowerbed configured as a timepiece. At the epicenter of the clock is a flat, circular plate approximately 60-70 cm in diameter, adorned with an abstract pattern of yellow, light green, and pink/red concentric circles and swirling motifs. Two simple, white, cylindrical hands, appearing to be made of PVC pipe, extend from the center of this plate. The shorter, broader hour hand points roughly towards the 11 o'clock position, while the longer, thinner minute hand points approximately to the 3 o'clock position, indicating a time of approximately 11:15. The clock face is intricately designed using various plant materials and decorative elements. Numerous small flowering plants, predominantly red and fuchsia pink, are arranged in large, curved segments that define the outer perimeter of the clock, suggesting numerical positions. These segments are punctuated by smaller clusters of white and purple flowers, particularly visible in the upper left and lower right sections. The inner parts of the clock face are filled with lush green groundcover plants. In the lower segment of the clock, what would typically be the 6 o'clock or 7 o'clock position, three distinct, vertically oriented rectangular sections of trimmed green boxwood hedges are arranged on a bed of bright white pebbles. These hedges are separated by narrow strips of white pebbles, forming a stylized "W" or Roman numeral "III" configuration. The white pebbles also delineate other decorative patterns within the flowerbed. The flowerbed rests on dark brown soil. Black plastic edging is visible, separating some of the planted areas. The immediate foreground features a border constructed from irregularly shaped, flat natural stone slabs, varying in color from light gray to beige. To the far left in the foreground, below the stone border, is a small patch of yellow wood chips. Scattered amongst the grass and groundcover near the stone border are a few small purple flowering plants. The background, largely out of focus, reveals additional green lawn areas and more flowerbeds with a variety of colorful blooms (red, pink, purple, white), consistent with a well-maintained park or garden environment. The scene is illuminated by bright, natural sunlight, casting minimal shadows and indicating a clear, daytime setting. There are no individuals present in the frame.
