In Juan Griego, Venezuela, a collection of cacti is planted in sandy soil against a rough, tan brick wall. The wall has horizontal mortar lines and vertical cracks in some of the blocks. The cacti vary in size and species, with some being tall and slender, while others are shorter and more rounded. Several of the cacti have pads that appear flattened and paddle-shaped. Some of the plants have visible spines, and a few have small white or pale green new growth. A white plastic cup with a silver lid is visible in the lower left of the frame, placed on the ground amongst a border of small, light-colored rocks. In the foreground, several larger rocks and pieces of wood are scattered on the soil, along with dried leaves and twigs. A white piece of fabric is attached to one of the cacti. The scene appears to be outdoors in daylight, with no people visible.
