Four framed paintings hang on a white gallery wall in Athina, Greece. The entire image is tilted counter-clockwise, suggesting a photo taken from a rotated perspective. In the upper left, a smaller, ornate gold-framed painting depicts a tranquil seascape or harbor with distant buildings and a few boats on calm water under a pale sky. Dominating the upper right is the largest painting, also in an ornate gold frame. It shows a detailed harbor scene featuring a large, wooden sailing ship, possibly derelict or partially dismantled, resting in shallow water near a dock. Other smaller boats and structures are visible, all beneath an overcast sky. Below these, two more paintings are displayed. The one on the bottom left is in a darker, possibly wooden, ornate frame. This painting is an equestrian scene, depicting several figures on horseback in a muted landscape under a cloudy sky. This work is identified by a visible placard as "Three Horsemen" by Nikolaos Gyzis (1842-1901), an oil on canvas painted in 1878, measuring 46 x 59 cm. It was donated by Alexandros Voila in 1999. To its right, the bottom-right painting is in an ornate gold frame. It portrays a bustling urban harbor or city view, with numerous buildings clustered along the waterfront, several boats in the water, and possibly smokestacks or masts rising above the city. A placard identifies this painting as "Four small boats in the sea" by Georgios Iakovidis (1853-1932), an oil on canvas from 1886, measuring 63 x 88 cm, also donated by Alexandros Voila in 1999. Two small white information placards are placed on the wall between the large top-right painting and the two bottom paintings, providing details for the bottom-row artworks. The wall is clean and white, with a light wooden baseboard along the very bottom, and a segment of a marble-patterned wall or pillar is visible on the far right edge of the frame. All paintings depict daylight scenes.
