The image depicts a roadside scene in Kandenuwara, Sri Lanka. In the lower right, a gray asphalt or concrete road surface is visible, bordered on its left edge by a solid white line. Adjacent to the road, a narrow strip of low-lying green ground cover and weeds runs parallel. To the left, a weathered stone retaining wall rises vertically, constructed from varied gray and brown stones. Numerous green ferns and small plants are rooted in the crevices and cover portions of the wall's surface. Above the wall, a metal railing or fence is partially visible. Two dark utility wires span horizontally across the upper mid-section of the frame, passing in front of the wall and dense vegetation. To the right of the stone wall and extending upwards, a thick expanse of various green tropical vegetation, including large ferns and broad-leafed plants, covers an embankment. No individuals or animals are present in the scene.
