A caiman is observed partially submerged in shallow, brownish-green, turbid water. The animal is oriented horizontally, with its head pointing towards the right side of the frame. Its upper back, featuring prominent dark and lighter grey-white dorsal scutes, and a portion of its tail are visible above the waterline. The remainder of its body is submerged within the water, which contains visible sediment and submerged plant debris. Along the upper edge of the water body, dense vegetation consisting of broad-leafed plants and tall, slender grasses forms a bank. The scene is illuminated by natural light. This observation occurred in Vallecito, Venezuela.
