The scene depicts a detailed view of two adjacent burial structures within a cemetery in Gijón/Xixón, Spain, under a clear blue sky featuring sparse, wispy white clouds. The dominant structure, positioned on the left and central, is a multi-tiered, ornate stone mausoleum. It is constructed from dark gray, weathered stone exhibiting signs of age, erosion, and minor plant growth, including moss and small weeds. Its facade features a central double door, dark and possibly metal with rusted grilles, which form a cross shape. Three weathered stone steps lead to these doors. Above the doors, a stone plaque bears the inscription "A LA MEMORIA DE D. MARINA SUAREZ PRADOS". Centered above this inscription is a circular stone relief depicting a cross within a wreath. The mausoleum's upper sections include spires, open archways, and decorative finials. Intricate floral and foliate carvings adorn panels flanking the doors and upper portions. Seated on the lower steps to the right of the mausoleum's doors is a heavily weathered white stone statue of a draped female figure. Her head is bowed, and her left hand is near her face. Her right arm rests on her lap, holding a cluster of pink flowers. The statue displays significant gray and black discoloration and some pink staining on its lower portion. In the immediate foreground, to the left, are two weathered stone funerary urns or finials. Another decorative stone element with a flame-like top is visible on the right, near the statue's base. To the right of the mausoleum is an adjacent, simpler crypt wall. This structure is composed of lighter, tan-colored stone or concrete, topped by a reddish-brown tiled roof where small plants are growing. The inscription "R.I.P." is carved into the wall's center, positioned above a stone relief of a garland or wreath. The entire scene is illuminated by natural daylight.
