The interior of the Santuario de María Auxiliadora (San Roque) in Ronda, Spain, features a prominent religious display. A sorrowful statue of the Virgin Mary, known as a Mater Dolorosa, is centrally positioned at the top of a wide, dark wooden staircase. The statue is adorned with a golden, radiating halo, a dark blue velvet cloak richly embroidered with gold thread, and an intricately patterned underskirt. Her hands are clasped, holding a white cloth, and a rosary hangs from her right hand.
