A large, patinated bronze sculpture, known as "Grande Testa" by Igor Mitoraj, depicting a stylized human head with textured, folded features, rests horizontally on a rust-colored Corten steel pedestal

SyracuseItaly

A large, patinated bronze sculpture, known as "Grande Testa" by Igor Mitoraj, depicting a stylized human head with textured, folded features, rests horizontally on a rust-colored Corten steel pedestal. A small, dark rectangular plaque is affixed to the front face of the pedestal. The ground beneath and around the sculpture is covered with light-colored gravel. Tall, mature pine trees with visible trunks and green canopies dominate the upper and right portions of the background, casting dappled shadows across the ground. Behind the sculpture, a dense line of green bushes with scattered pink flowers borders a low, dark metal fence. To the immediate right of the pedestal, a substantial, dark, rectangular stone block lies on the gravel. The scene is illuminated by bright daylight under a clear blue sky. This location is identified as the Archaeological Park of Neapolis in Syracuse, Italy.
