The image captures the Arco della Pace (Arch of Peace) in Milan, Italy, under an overcast, pale blue sky. The monumental neoclassical triumphal arch, constructed from light-colored stone, dominates the frame, presenting three arched passages. Its facade is adorned with fluted columns, ornate capitals, and intricate bas-reliefs depicting historical and allegorical scenes. The upper structure features a prominent bronze quadriga, flanked by additional equestrian statues and reclining figures. A large Latin inscription is visible beneath the quadriga. Warm, orange artificial lighting illuminates the undersides of the arches and portions of the sculptural details, creating a contrast with the ambient light. Centered beneath the main arch is a large, spherical, golden-toned art installation or light fixture, constructed from intertwined metallic elements, appearing to be suspended or supported by unseen structures behind it. In the immediate foreground, temporary barrier fences are visible, displaying "MILANO CORTINA 2026" branding, indicative of preparations for the Olympic Games. Behind these barriers, at the base of the arch, a dark, low-lying platform or stage-like structure is present, along with several small, spherical white lights. Through the arches, distant city buildings and bare trees are discernible. No individuals are present in the visible scene.
