A wide, multi-tiered granite staircase, approximately 20 steps deep, dominates the lower two-thirds of the frame, leading upwards towards the monument. The staircase is flanked by light-colored marble balustrades, each featuring recessed lighting fixtures and topped with a large, smooth, bowl-shaped decorative urn at the upper landing. The monument itself is positioned at the top of the stairs.
