The image presents a weathered, intricately carved wooden double-leaf door, slightly ajar, set within a highly ornate stone facade. This structure is located in Kolhapur, India. The wooden door panels feature extensive floral and geometric carvings, incorporating vertical perforated sections. The door is framed by carved stone pilasters adorned with continuous leafy scrollwork and circular floral medallions. At the base of the frame, two stone reliefs depict decorated elephants with raised trunks, positioned on a patterned stone plinth exhibiting a repeating floral motif. Rectangular stone jali (lattice) panels, each with a dense, repeating quatrefoil pattern, flank the door on both sides. Above the doorway, a central deity figure, consistent with Hindu iconography, is carved into the lintel, flanked by detailed floral patterns. On the outer corners of the lintel, two peacocks with fanned tails are carved, facing inward. The entire structure displays erosion and discoloration consistent with outdoor exposure and age. No individuals or discernible activities are present within the frame.
