In Vyshneve, Ukraine, a water pump sits on dry grass next to a concrete canal. The pump is yellow and red, mounted in a black metal frame, and connected to a green hose. A second hose, ribbed and brown, lies on the concrete. A large, crumpled piece of light-colored material, possibly plastic sheeting, is piled on the left side of the frame, near a wooden stake and blue twine.
