This upward-angled photograph presents a section of an aged brick wall from a building in Rostov-on-Don, Russia. The wall is constructed of multiple courses of red-orange bricks with visible white mortar, much of which is eroded. A recessed and severely dilapidated window opening is prominent in the upper-middle, featuring a dark, weathered wooden frame with several broken cross-members and missing panes. Through the opening, interior wooden boards and exposed, rough masonry are visible. The brickwork immediately above the window forms an angled structure, suggestive of a dormer or attic window. Below the window, a damaged brick ledge extends horizontally across the wall, with several bricks chipped or displaced. Two dark-colored birds are present. One bird is perched inside the window opening on a horizontal wooden element, positioned with its back mostly to the viewer. The second bird is resting on the brick ledge directly beneath the window, facing towards the right with its back also presented to the viewer. In the lower-left portion of the wall, a rusted, dark metal ring is firmly embedded into the brickwork. At the very top of the frame, a clear blue sky is visible, interspersed with sparse light-green foliage. The entire structure appears in a state of advanced disrepair and weathering.
