The scene depicts a dark bay horse standing on an uneven dirt and concrete surface in what appears to be an alley or side street within Gwale, Nigeria. The horse, visibly emaciated with ribs protruding, faces right and is positioned against a light brown concrete block wall. It wears a simple rope halter and a colorful fabric neckband. To the horse's right, the wall transitions to a section with multi-colored rectangular tiles and a pinkish-brown painted corner.
