This image presents a low-angle, outdoor view of the bronze equestrian statue of King Erekle II, located in Telavi, Georgia. The statue dominates the upper and central portions of the frame against a bright blue sky with scattered white cumulus clouds. The central subject is a dark-patinated bronze statue of a male figure, King Erekle II, depicted astride a rearing horse. The king wears a traditional military uniform, including a tunic, boots, and a cap. His right arm is extended vertically upwards, firmly grasping a long, straight sword with a prominent cruciform hilt. The sword's blade points skyward. His left hand appears to hold the reins of the horse. The horse is dynamically posed on its hind legs, with its front hooves lifted. The statue rests upon a tall, cylindrical pedestal constructed from irregular, light-colored stones, mortared together. Below and behind the pedestal, a light-colored, horizontal concrete or stone wall spans the lower portion of the image. Green foliage, likely bushes or trees, is visible at the base of this wall. To the right of the statue's base, a slender, dark green coniferous tree, possibly a cypress, stands upright behind the wall. The lighting suggests sunlight from the left, casting subtle shadows on the right side of the statue.
