The scene depicts an outdoor area in Donga, Nigeria. A large, debarked tree trunk, rough and greyish-brown, lies horizontally across the midground. Resting on this trunk, near the center of the frame, is a lizard, oriented facing left. The lizard exhibits a bright reddish-orange coloration on its head and anterior body, transitioning to a greyish-purple mid-section, and a distinct yellow-orange tail. In the foreground, the ground is covered with light grey, interlocking concrete pavers arranged in a repeating pattern of hexagons and small squares.
